Parking Accessibility

  • There are 11 total units and 11 total parking spaces

  • Parking spaces are not on an accessible route to the facility (roads are gravel)

Accessibility of Public Routes

  • Routes throughout the property are not accessible.

  • Many routes to and from the facility are gravel roads

  • Many routes throughout the facility are pavers that are uneven in places

  • There are steps at the entrances to units and the office

  • Some units (i.e. Units 1-2) are up stairs

  • There are no elevators

Office Accessibility

  • There is a step up at the entrance to the office

  • The door to the office is not accessible

  • The door to the office is approximately 30” wide

Guestroom Accessibility

  • The features below apply to the provided

  • Guestroom bathing facilities are not accessible

  • All guestroom beds are queen size beds except for units #2 and #7 which are king size beds

  • Guestroom entrances are not accessible (there is a step up at the door)

  • Guestroom entrances are approximately 30” wide

  • Guestroom restrooms are not accessible

  • Guestroom restrooms do not have accessible lavatories

  • Guestroom restrooms do not have accessible water closets/ toilets with grab bars

  • Guestroom bathrooms do not have accessible bathing facilities

General Accessibility of Areas, Facilities and Amenities

  • Service animals welcome (consistent with ADA)

  • Swimming pool is not accessible (no pool lift provided)

The Coconut Inn was original constructed in 1925. Since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) we have undertaken projects and implemented changes to improve accessibility. However, we may not be fully accessible to every individual with a disability depending on their particularly disability and need for accommodation. We have attempted to identify and describe features at the Coconut Inn and its guestrooms in enough detail to reasonably permit individuals with disabilities to assess independently whether the Coconut Inn meets their own accessibility needs. However, we cannot possible list each and every feature of every room, amenity, space or element applicable under the ADA. We are also aware the individuals with disabilities are not all the same and may require different or unique accessibility features to accommodate them.
